STONE CARE & MAINTENANCE
General Stone Care Tips
We want you to enjoy sparkling, pristine countertops for years. There are plenty of easy steps you can take to make sure that you are caring for stone countertops around the clock:
- It’s always wise to use cutting boards, trivets, hot pads, and coasters to prevent scratches, thermal shock, discoloration, water rings, and etching on the stone surface.
- Clean any spills or standing water promptly with soft cloths, sponges, paper towels, and gentle stone-specific cleaners to prevent staining or damage.
- Always avoid bleach, ammonia, or acidic cleaners to clean the surface!
- Wipe down your counters regularly to remove food, residue, and particles, and consult your GraniteLand countertop expert about how frequently you should seal your specific stone type.
Our Pro Clean & Seal Service
GraniteLand offers professional sealing for all our new granite installations. Our installers will apply a first coat of sealer, and then instruct clients how to complete the application process for the second and third coats that most granite countertops will require.
Our service is free with the purchase of a 511 Impregnator Sealant, and we will provide our client with plenty of product to apply the 2nd and 3rd coats for future resealing. We also suggest using a daily granite-specific cleaner to achieve the best long-term results from the 511 Impregnator Sealant.
*In order to take advantage of the Miracle Sealants 20-Year Warranty, you must use an approved Miracle Sealants brand cleaner. We offer Miracle Sealants products.
