Most Popular Stone Countertop FAQs

If you have never purchased or had stone countertop installed before, then you probably have a few questions.
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions that our experts receive when it comes to the process:

During your countertop estimate, our experts will provide you with a timeline based on your specific room dimensions, the customization required, and the material that you purchase. Since quartz countertops are factory-made and can require less time for installation than other materials, one to two days is a reasonable estimate. Granite countertops are heavier by nature and require more labor-intensive installation, so this process is likely to take two days and possibly three days for larger spaces. Marble countertops also require careful handling due to their weight to avoid damage, so anywhere from one to three days based on size and complexity is a normal timeframe.

The cost of your new stone countertops will of course depend on the square footage of your kitchen or bathroom counter space, the materials you purchase, as well as edge treatments and other details. Our labor rates are in line with the current industry standard and we ensure the work that we complete! The National Kitchen and Bath Association estimates that new countertops make up roughly 11% of the overall cost to remodel a kitchen or bathroom. The average cost of installing your countertops for a kitchen or bathroom will most likely fall in the $3,000 to $7,000 range.

First be sure to disconnect and remove all appliances prior to installation. You may need to consult with a plumber or electrician to advise on plumbing and wiring in the installation area. Since new countertop installation is a construction zone, we recommend covering all vents in the area to contain dust and debris. Make sure to clear a direct path through the home for easy access to the installation area, covering the furniture and floors nearby. We also recommend clearing all cabinets, and removing all breakables including lamps, vases, and all wall hangings.
